How dangerous was it volunteering for the WVS? (2)

As well as the Roll of Honour and people’s reminiscences, there are lots of other sources that we can use to discover what it was like to be a member of the WVS and how dangerous it might have been.

Below is another extract from the Roll of Honour as well as a picture of a WVS Mobile Canteen and one of the famous WVS Narrative Reports from Bristol. This is just one of over 450,000 reports that describe in minute detail what WVS members were doing in their towns and cities during and after the war.
